OWLS - Outstanding Wise Learners

We have been OWLS for a whole term now.

On Friday we celebrated a term of Outstanding Wise Learning with some Owl art.

Baking Fun

Today Bryn's Mum, Sharon, came to school to help us do some baking.

We made some owl cupcakes!

We followed a recipe and had turns at adding ingredients and using the cake mixer.

Sharon took the mixture home and baked the cupcakes for us.

Tomorrow we will eat them at the Teddy Bears Picnic

OWL writing

Today we wrote amazing stories about owls.

We read Ava's book about the Wise Little Owl again and we shared what we have already learned about owls.
We wrote lots of owl facts and we also asked a question.  We are now going to have to find a way to discover the answer to our questions.

Hayden's writing was fantastic and he took it to Mrs Simmons.  She was very proud of him.

Bryn also did a great job of his writing....he took it to Mrs Warren for a Principal's Award.

Well done boys.

SMART Owls

We have become very good at learning about Howard Gardner and his SMARTS.

We know that we are all smart and we all have different strengths....and we are all Outstanding Wise Learners.

Today we decided to put our ART smart into action.  We made some great owls using scrapbooking paper and a template for the wings and body.  

We all made our own owls that look completely different and very cute.
