Cupcake FUn

Today we were very lucky because we used some cupcake making machines to make our own delicious cupcakes.

We wrote these instructions as a class

1. put all of the ingredients into a bowl and mix together (the recipe is in our poetry books).

2. put two spoons of mixture into a cupcake case.

3. lift the cupcake case into the machine.

4. close the lid of the cupcake machine and cook for 12 minutes.

5. Take cupcakes out of the machine and leave to cool.

6. wash the dishes.

7. eat your cupcake.

Amish Friendship Bread

Today Bina brought in a bag with some ingredients in it.

She also had a piece of paper that had some instructions on it.

She explained to us that this bag had ingredients in it to make a special kind of bread called Amish Bread.  

Today is day two - we had to 'mush the bag' today to mix all the ingredients together.  Bina explained there was a chemical reaction happening in the bag and that we will be able to watch the bread grow in the bag!  We are excited about this ... thanks Bina for sharing something so great with us.

Baking Fun

Today Bryn's Mum, Sharon, came to school to help us do some baking.

We made some owl cupcakes!

We followed a recipe and had turns at adding ingredients and using the cake mixer.

Sharon took the mixture home and baked the cupcakes for us.

Tomorrow we will eat them at the Teddy Bears Picnic
