Today we had to think hard about just what our own SMART strength is.
We talked about the SMARTS and then we decided which one we think we are very best at.

After we had decided we got into groups with other people who have the same strength.  Mrs Pelham took photos of us posing to represent our SMART strength.

Nature Smart Kids

Today we discovered some people are Nature Smart.

This means they are people who love being outside.  They love plants and animals and they make lots of collections of bugs, shells, flowers and so on.

SMART Owls

We have become very good at learning about Howard Gardner and his SMARTS.

We know that we are all smart and we all have different strengths....and we are all Outstanding Wise Learners.

Today we decided to put our ART smart into action.  We made some great owls using scrapbooking paper and a template for the wings and body.  

We all made our own owls that look completely different and very cute.

We discovered some people are PEOPLE smart.  These people love people!  They love being in a crowd, they love working with other people and they make friends easily.

Today we learned about two of  Howard Gardner's smarts.

The first SMART we learned about is Art Smart.

People who are art smart are good at drawing, they think in pictures and they are good at building.

Today we are talking about how we learn.

We discovered a famous man called Howard Gardner did some research into how people learn.
